Fellowships

Designed for pre-professional musicians, seventeen fellows perform in the Eastern Festival Orchestra, perform in faculty chamber recitals, and are ambassadors of EFM in the community. Fellows receive housing/meals and a stipend.

String Fellowships

Festival Orchestra and Repertory Orchestra, plus chamber music in three string quartets made up of the fellows.

Piano Fellowships

Two fellows give solo and chamber concerts, play keyboard with EFM's orchestras, and collaborate across the festival.

Clarinet Fellowship

All Festival Orchestra rehearsals and concerts on B‑flat and A clarinet, with E‑flat and bass clarinet as needed.

Bassoon / Contrabassoon Fellowship

Contrabassoon in the Festival Orchestra, with bassoon as needed, plus chamber music with the faculty.

Trombone Fellowship

Second trombone in every Eastern Festival Orchestra rehearsal and concert, plus the Repertory Orchestra.
