Join the Eastern Festival of Music this summer as an assistant stage crew member. The stage crew sets up and runs the stage for the festival's rehearsals, orchestra concerts and chamber recitals: chairs, music stands, risers and instruments before each event, and stage changes between pieces. The job gives you production experience at a professional music festival.
The position runs from June 25 to August 2, 2027, and pays a stipend of $1,500, with free room and board. Crew members work with festival staff, faculty and musicians at rehearsals and concerts, and most concerts are in the evening or on weekends. We are looking for people who arrive on time, stay calm when a stage change has to happen fast, and can lift and move heavy equipment. Theater or stage production experience is a plus. Applicants must be at least 21 and complete a background check.
